Emissaries for Graduate Student Diversity
The Emissaries for Graduate Student Diversity program was established in 2007 to broaden the participation of underrepresented students and build a more inclusive IU Bloomington graduate student community.
The emissaries exemplify the values of appreciation of diversity and commitment to community building. They are selected from a pool of IUB graduate students and trained to assist in the various stages of the graduate application. They can assist students with transition, adjustment, and professional development challenges. Additionally, they are trained to aid with the admission process and provide information and referrals to on-campus resources and services.
